"The band is playing as a whole"

I think you are getting this confused with "The band is mailing it in"

How you could consider that performance of LIG even comparable with a performance like Selland (7/19/74) defies logic...

Of course youve already admitted your unfamiliarity with so many important shows, it's pretty obvious you have a great deal more listening to do (particularly of the classics). I recommend you invest in a better pair of headphones or earbuds...

It's a shame you tend to bring abrasive commentary. Sailors... Enthusiasm is always nice though. I guess its better than no response right?

And when did I say it was better than your version? I was making a comment on the climactic nature of the latter years which I tend to enjoy. I enjoy 73-74 LIG's and have enjoyed listening to this 74 version. But here at 8:30 in its more like a space jam/DS than it is a let it grow. I enjoy the big bang, the climax, the latter years give you that more with LIG. Not saying I don't enjoy the out there jamming, as thats my bread and butter now-a-days.

And have you forgotten the evolution of these songs Cliff? your suggested LIG and my LIG are worlds apart different, they go through different sequences. Even trying to compare these two versions is silly as they are far different, after 7:30 the song dissolves into a space jam and never returns to LIG. Its a cool jam and all, but its far from climactic nor is the band anywhere near cohesive (at least after 8:00 ish). They are way different.

And being young I've went through my own evolution (which continues to this day), sorry for starting where I did (the 80s). There is plenty I need to learn and hear. But I doubt anything will ever change my opinion on this LIG.

Cheers to another "you're wrong!" discussion the huckster.

I think you reached a "madness" point with your review of this awful music.

Thanks for your clever response!
